Team-building exercise

The Global Leadership Fellow Programme is an internal three-year programme for selected World Economic Forum staff to prepare them for future leadership roles in the public and private sectors.

Matthias Catón participated in the programme from 2008 to 2011 and received an Executive Master in Global Leadership, awarded by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with the programme's academic partners Insead, London Business School, The Wharton School and Columbia University.

In addition to their regular jobs at the Forum, the Fellows spend several weeks each year in academic trainings and retreats, both in Geneva and offsite, such as on the campus of one of the programme's main academic partners. Workshops, meetings with world leaders, coaching and mentoring complement the programme.

Fellows have at least a Master degree and generally between five and seven years of work experience when entering the programme. They have a large variety of backgrounds in government, business and civil society and come from all over the world.
